Millhouse Publishing

Millhouse Verlag is a Swedish-Swiss publishing company founded in 1988 in Luzern, Switzerland. The Swedish branch Millhouse Förlag was founded in 1997 in Stockholm, Sweden.

Our main objective is to produce and publish quality books on wine and other beverages - principally for the Scandinavian and the Germanspeaking markets.

The immediate success came with the production of En Värld av Vin (A World of Wine). The first edition of this innovative winebook came in 1994 and was the starting point for Sweden's most successful concept on wine information.

En Värld av Vin was the first book to present the entire wine world, with complete facts on all important producers worldwide.

This unique reference book for wine experts has sold more than 100 000 copies in Sweden and over 80 000 copies in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

Through the years we have produced about twenty books on wine - the majority in the series En Värld av Vin. The most successful titles, apart from the book En värld av Vin itself, are Stora Vinskolan (The Comprehensive Wineschool), Första Vinboken (The first Book on Wine) and Vin & Gastronomi (Wine and Gastronomy).

Several titles have been awarded in competitions, national as well as international.

Furthermore we produce selected books on gastronomy, Swedish cuisine and culinary traditions.

Starting in 1999, we yearly publish Sweden's most successful guide to Swedish gastronomy, Vägarnas Bästa (The Best en Route).

The English version of this guide, Sweden Gourmet Guide, was in 2003 awarded Best Guide in The World in the international competition World Cookbook Award.

In 2005 we joined forces with the food magazine Gourmet and its restaurant guide 199 Bord and since then we cooperate in the annually publishing of Sweden’s only athoritative guide to the Swedish gastronomy scene, listing and assessing more than 530 restaurants all over the country, White Guide.

In 2008 we published the first edition of White Guide Sweden, a guide in English to Sweden’s best eating, covering 250 restaurants selected from White Guide.
